Activities
We try to schedule winter activities for everyone. Great time for rivival meetings!!!
Easter Service (Mar-Apr) Celebrate the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ with us with special singing and preaching. We also have special Sunday school classes for our children. The morning service is usually followed with an egg hunt for the children.
Youth Convention (April) The Illinois District UPC hosts a dynamic youth convention for the youth of Illinois. It is in Springfield, Illinois at a convention facility and offers 3 days a power packed meetings.
Indiana Beach Trip (July) A day trip away to Indiana Beach to ride amusements park rides and sight seeing. Fun for all ages. This week we will try to go on the 3rd Friday in July.
Cook-out and Bake Sale: Each Saturday in June and the 1st Saturday in July we will hold cookout and bake sale at ALCO by invitation of ALCO management.
Youth Revival Mike Weedman will preach this year's revival. Our youth will lead the services.
ALJC Conference: General Conference will be held in Louisville.
UPC Camp Meetings(June and July) UPC Illinois District host camps in Wapella, Illinois for all ages. Everything from puppet ministry for the young to power packed evangelistic services for the older.

Sunday School Picnic/ Fourth of July Freedom Sunday Celebration (July) A fun filled day of Sunday School, picnic, and activities. There are games for all ages and sno-cones and many more things to entertain you.
Church Anniversary (July) Gibson City Pentecostal Church will celebrate its 47th anniversary in 2010. We will host special celebration service this year.
Fall Cookout (October) A cookout that is complete with bonfire, roasting marshmellows, hot chocolate, tug-of-war, pinatas and hay rack ride. A evening of good fun.
Lighted Holiday Parade (November) A annual event hosted by the city of Gibson. Lots of Christmas lights. We spend October and part of November creating a lighted float for the parade that will always bring honor to the reason we celebrate Christmas! Jesus! We might be bragging here al little bit, but we have won either the Grand Prize or 1st place in our catagory almost every year since its inception. We're very proud to share the message of Jesus with our community.
Holiday Dinner (December) What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas than coming together as a group and honoring each other. Served Potluck style (Church supplies meat and drinks) and at a special location.
Christmas Program (December) All the Sunday School children participate in our Christmas Program. Special songs, skits and presentations are given in the morning service. Classes have worked for 2 months preparing for their class presentations. Parents, siblings, and grandparents all will enjoy watching the children give their thanks in their presentations. We also have a special evening service celebrating Jesus.
Men/Women Fellowship (every month, usually every third Wednesday) Fellowship that is geared towards men and women. Children are babysat by the youth of the church. Come and fellowship... you never know what they might be doing.... bible study, cookout, games, building the tower of babel...
